Since ancient history, humans have been chasing nature's secrets.  We have been manipulating nature since the beginning: first we learned how to farm, then began selective breeding for traits, and later on discovered how to make fertilizers from synthetic ingredients.  Modern technology has brought many advancements in the plant world, furthering our understanding on how fertilizer and microbial relationships work underneath the soil, but the harsh chemical fertilizers mankind uses has devastated the life in soil resulting in the need for more pesticides and fertilizers....compounding the destruction.

At Phi Plant Nutrition, we have always been drawn to the synchronicities in nature, how everything follows a code mathematically, and how these processes work together seamlessly.  We also were "hooked at first harvest" and got the desire to grow plants early on.  Over the last 20 years we have been in the industry in various ways and tried so many various methods of gardening, using most all commercially available synthetic and organic fertilizer lines.  Some were good but not easy, others easy but not good, and most lacked (our) desired results.  We kept wondering what nature's secret was, how things grew well without humans getting involved and doing harm.  We made compost teas, amended "super" soils, and practiced methods such as: KNF, biodynamics, FPJ, and Hugelkultur.  These methods felt great but were somewhat inconsistent with their results and very time consuming.  

We believe time is one of our most valuable resources and we, like most of you, lead very busy lives.  We wanted to create products that mimicked the best of all worlds while making the program accessible for everyone, and, with Phi Plant Nutrition we feel like we have done that.  We searched across the globe for ingredients and found synchronicities that work for us and the planet, like the asian carp we use as a fish source.  Asian carp is an invasive species in the riverways and lakes, and cleanup is a priority for many areas already, but these fish have a very high bone and cartilage percentage.  This high concentration leads to a naturally higher (P) and (Ca) content than other fish when enzymatically digested.  These paths presented themselves one after the other and, through many years of trial and error, Phi Plant Nutrition developed 6 liquid products and 2 blends of dry fertilizers.  Because we know the quest for knowledge never ends, we aim to create an environment at phi.family for sharing knowledge and helping each other through collective experience in our Forum, FAQ and Q&A.  These tools allow not only for the collective consciousness of individuals to thrive, but it allows us to improve our products by being part of this like minded community directly.
